Welcome

Marist Missionary Sisters in Rwanda

Missionaries: this is the primary calling of the Missionary Sisters of the Society of Mary, present in Rwanda since 1981, serving evangelization and the least among us.

Our mission

Marist Missionary Sisters in Rwanda

Our Congregation has received a particular mandate in the Church to take part in evangelization through missionary presence, through living and proclaiming the Word, and through apostolic service. Since our arrival in Rwanda in 1981, we continue this calling in the heart of the land of a thousand hills.

  • Set apart for mission — a primary calling, the greatest challenge of the Church.
  • Inspired by Mary and trusting in her help.
  • Sent in small communities to live the Gospel beyond every border.
